Maybe Hand in Hand (1960)
Trying to find info/title of a British film of (possibly) the late 40s -50s; about 2 children, boy & girl, in an English village/small town who form a friendship. I believe there was a scene where one child went to the place of worship of the other, expecting at any minute to be struck down, as they were not of the faith! Possibly they were Protestant & Catholic.
I seem to have read about it somewhere, in the recent past - possibly a re-release?
Anyone have any recollections of it - or know more info?
