An older movie in which the person who watched it doesn't remember the plot, except she remembers a scene at the end of the movie.

The decription of this movie sounds so familiar...

    - The person watched it between 1990 and 1995.
    - She thinks it was made in 1970s or 1980s.
    - The film is in colour and she thinks the language is English.
    - A car (probably a white car) is driving off a cliff and falling into a sea (or very large lake).
    - Then from some part of the car, small diamonds (or jewels) are coming out and falling through the water in slow motion.
    - She thinks the car is empty at the time of the accident. Nobody has drowned.
    - She thinks the characters throughout the movie are searching these diamonds and they are not aware that the diamonds are hidden inside the car.

I'd like this to be one of my favourite British 'B' movies of the 1960's."Dateline Diamonds" Diamonds are the major storyline. Sports cars feature too, and a white saloon car (Volvo, but not the Roger Moore "The Saint" version) is a crucial vehicle. Needs others to comment first though.

I think that was black and white. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Yes, that's one consideration. But life here in Birmingham was in black and white only in those days, and DD was so realistic that it was just like the world outside of the cinema!

Just receive an email from the person who is looking this film.
Unfortunately, neither of these two films is the right one:
    Dateline Diamonds (1965)
    Diamonds on Wheels (TV 1974)

I would have said Diamonds on Wheels as this is the closest match to the description but obviously not?

Is she sure its diamonds and not drugs, otherwise it could be McQ with John Wayne.

Nope - Definitely not Diamonds on Wheels, a Disney film based on a french novel in which the diamonds in question are hidden in the seat of a vintage MG taking part in a car rally.
