Actors care homes -what are criteria for actors to go into one -i assume it is ill health ? , what about financial hardship? is there a priority housing need -or is it first come basis?
Are fans by prior appointment and permission allowed to visit? (i suspect not?)
Who is the biggest star anyone knows of who went into a Actors care home?
I suppose the two most well known care homes in the London area would be Brinsworth House in Twickenham and Denville Hall in Northwood, North London. Not sure what the residency criteria is.
Amongst the current Brinsworth residents are Richard O'Sullivan and past residents include Charlie Drake and briefly Norman Wisdom.
Of the well known names at Denville, Maurice Denham was a resident as were two of the cast of Allo' Allo' Carmen Silvera and Rose Hill.
Have always wanted to work in one of those..........

Good for you. I was offered the chance to work in one several years ago, but I turned it down because of the travelling involved. It's hard, but working in that kind of environment has it's own rewards.
