Doomwatch has never had a complete DVD (or VHS) release. In fact, http://www.doomwatch.org/ Doomwatch.org is campaigning for one right now! The only DVD release (apart from the 1972 film) was a disc with “The Plastic Eaters” and “Tomorrow the Rat”. They had already been released on VHS and were unremastered. It was released in 2000, and is 50 (used) on Amazon.

I got hold on a VHS copy of the release 'The Red Sky / You Killed Toby Wren' (the other tape being 'The Plastic Eaters” and “Tomorrow the Rat”), and finally converted it to DVD. Its about 8 on Amazon, and about a tenner for the other one. Until there is a DVD release (and considering the stuff that does get released on DVD, you have to wonder whats stopping them), thats the best you can hope for.

I think all the existing episodes (bar the untransmitted "Sex and Violence") were shown on UK Gold in 1994.

You need a YouTube downloader plugin for your browser. Saves all that stop starting buffering business.

I'm a little confused with something concerning one of the Doomwatch episodes, was there an episode with a Rat/Mouse head grafted onto a human body, or a human head grafted onto the body of a Rat/Mouse?

Maybe I'm just imagining things as sometimes things aren't always as remembered, but it's something I need to ask.

In "Tomorrow, the Rat" there were so-called intelligent rats running amok, but they were normal-sized rats and I don't recall an episode with the head grafting you describe, Mark.

Thanks for the reply Gerald, I may be getting my memory mixed up with something else concerning a 'Human-Rat', maybe an episode of Dr. Who, or something else science-fiction, does what I'm describing ring a bell at all?

The only "ratman" I can immediately think of is this pretty chap from Return of the Fly (1959):

His mother really should've bought him better fitting gloves for his birthday.

She should have done Gerald, lol, the scenario I'm trying to think of takes place in a laboratory with a console in the middle, a Rat or Mouse head grafted on to a human which speaks with a female voice.
