What I vaguely remember of the film: A young fellow convinces Scotland Yard that he can help catch a gang of smugglers, expected to arrive somewhere on the south coast, probably Brighton. The guy says he has to be present when the smugglers arrives, and will go to the coast together with a S.Y. policeman by car. He demands a Jaguar limousine, and gets his will after some gnashing of (police chief) teeth. The car is then partly damaged during the trip. This is the beginning. The rest is also funny, but I don't remember much. Did the policeman possibly get sick and had to be looked after by the dude?
(The film was shown on Norwegian or Swedish TV a very long time ago).
Sorry if my English is not very good.
