I bought it last year and was really surprised how good it actually was. It was a lot better than I remembered.

I waited a year or two for the price to drop before I bought it. I seem to remember that the original asking price was over 100.While I would not say that it was a brilliant series, there are some dud episodes and the episodes that were filmed abroad are some of the worst. I am maybe a little biased because I come from Norwich and many episodes were filmed in and around where I live so it is fascinating to see my home city on TV.

I have got the complete series of Tales of the Unexpected on DVD (i also bought the series when the price dropped), there are some episodes that i would never watch again (i wouldn't be bothered about watching many of the episodes that were filmed abroad again), but there are many episodes that i would watch again and again, there are some very good episodes of Tales of the Unexpected, i also live in Norfolk (like Paul), and two episodes of Tales of the Unexpected featured my home town of Aylsham, Norfolk.

I assume the episodes that were filmed abroad were the ones I don't remember being broadcast in this country. The ones from the mid to late 80s.

I'm pretty sure they were ALL broadcast here at least once each. I just think that certain episodes were repeated in the UK more often than the others....
