I am looking for the title of a horror film with Telly Savalas, mainly so I don't make the mistake of seeing it again. All I remember is a bit where he was by an unused train station near a tunnel and the film was so bad I didn't watch up to the first lot of adverts.

I thought of Lisa and the Devil, also starring Telly Savalas, but guess it must be Horror Express:

Telly isn't in it very much. He shows up late and isn't around long.

Most horror buffs think Horror Express is a good one.

The big problem is it fell into the public domain and a lot of the prints are terrible. It is also mostly dubbed (it was a Spanish co-production), except for the three English speakers, which makes the acting uneven. But if you can find a decent print and excuse the dubbing, it is a fun ride with a wild climax.

That youtube copy looks okay. The ones I kept running into were bad. I originally saw it on televison not long after it was in theaters.

Could it be Vendetta (1972)? Also known as Pancho Villa. That is a westersn with Savales. The producer recycled the train in that movie for Horror Express.

I don't think it was Pancho Villa as I am sure I chose to watch it because it was a horror. Some are so bad they are good but I remember I thought this one was awful and didn.t stay with it up to the advert break like I used to do in those days.It was on t.v in the 1990's but I don't know how old it was at the time

.I am thinking of getting Lisa and the Devil because Alessio Orano is in it and I think he is so good looking but I don't want to end up with a film I hated.

Was it this? If it was a horror movie, there doesn't seem much possibilities. If it wasn't Lisa and the Devil, the only other is another italian movie with Savals only in a cameo.

The other one is the most recent, from the late 1980s. The rest of them are all from early seventies.

Thank you for your help Will.I thought it might be this one but my husband who watched the film with me at the time said it was set in America.I think that rules out Lisa and the Devil as well so maybe it wasn't a horror after all.

I don't look at them too much, but sometimes these foreign movies are set in the United States. Here is the last one marked as horror. This looks real bad.

    Faceless

There are a lot more Savalas movies under the genre thriller, although many don't look likely.

I found the wikipedia listing. Savalas does appear in an important role early and that part of the movie is set in New York. Apparently he is not in the rest of it until he returns at the end.

What you do is hit advanced search, then go for movie titles. In this case, hitting movies and TV movies, the genre horror, then typing his name under actors and film crew to narrow it down.

Might it be ‘She Cried Murder’, a TV movie from 1973, this played on Channel 5 a couple of years ago.
