Robert Mill's uncredited appearance in Gideon's Way is still my favourite
Britmovie identification (at Anyone recognise this actor?, early last year)!

I hope I can help with these comparisons, Movie Dude.

Aubrey Danvers-Walker, seen at various threads lately:

Male of the Species - Emlyn (1969)|Scotland Yard - Fatal Journey (1954)

Gilly McIver, one of my subjects at 'Bit Part Actresses':

Gideon's Way - The Millionaire's Daughter (1965) and Public Eye - Welcome to Brighton? (1969)

    Carry on Constable
I have been doing a bit of a study of this film recently, i have made the following observations
    1. Credits added by Carry On authors, Andy Davidson, Robert Ross etc probably taken from pressbooks, Call sheets, Gerald Thomas's papers etc.
Alfred Pim/Charles Stanley Newsvendor/Newspaper Man, one is the man on screen at 0.01.33 you don't see his face the other must be the 'Get your Paper' type voice
Tom Cubitt is the tied up jeweller 0.05.06
Ken Kennedy is the 'Wall Eyed Man' Unnamed Extra 6
Margaret St. Barbe West is the 2nd Shop Assistant on the same counter as 1st Shop Assistant (Mary Law), looks like her scene hit the cutting room floor, however she can be glimpsed briefly almost totally obscured by Mary at 1.07.34
Tex Fuller as the Van Man, he is not one of the men trussed and shut in the back of the robbed van, i presume he is the obscured driver of the Recovery vehicle that the collects the van at 1.15.45
    2. Deleted scenes
Known scenes Ronald Adam as irate motorist
    Paul Cole as Smart Alec
Robert Howell as Stunt 'Willy' who crashes into Charles Hawtrey, trivia on the DVD says Jeremy Connor was replaced by Robert Howell as he wouldn't crash into Charles, Robert filmed the scene it is on his Spotlight CV, on screen it seems it is Jeremy all the way!
Colin Gordon and Ian Wilson were always listed as appearing in this (Quinlan's Character Actors, IMDb), they are not on screen i am sure.
Bruce Seton as Fabian of the Yard, forum members Jingles and Narabdela (at Bruce's thread) remember seeing Bruce play a cameo in this, the scene is not in the currently circulating print. Mystery
    3 The Citizens
In paperwork the twelve irate 'citizens' in the police station are 1. Tom Gill, 2. Anthony Sagar, 3. Eric Corrie, 4. Frank Forsyth, 5. John Antrobus
from the door the others are
    6 and 7 Unknown
    8 Norman Fisher 0.04.35
    9 Unknown Male 17
    10 Eric Henderson 0.01.41
    11 Paul Berardi 0.04.35
    12 Unknown UE8
    4. The Constables
Kenneth Williams, Charles Hawtrey, Leslie Phillips and Kenneth Williams line up at the staion with six other constables to be vetted by Inspector (Eric Barker) and Sergeant (Sidney James), the first shot is of the other six and a different Sergeant played i think by John Adams/Bill Rooney
    The six are
    1 and 2 Unknown
    3 Joe Phelps 0.33.20 and 0.33.28
    4 Arthur Howell 0.27.51
    5 Unknown Male 1 0.27.51
    6 Robert Vossler
as they set out in a column for the day's assignments the personnel change, to
    Fred Davis 0.33.18
    Bill Baskiville 0.33.20, 0.33.27
George Curtis blurred but unmistakable 0.35.25
    5. Others
John Langley boy in cart , Unnamed Extra 7 , it is in his Spotlight CV and his profile photo matches
Paul Kelly 2nd Jewel Thief UE8, it is in his Spotlight CV and his profile photo matches
Jack Hetherington Tied up man in the van UE1

Ooh! I thought you had it there with Aubrey Danvers-Walker Cornershop. But on closer inspection the ears look quite different. If it wasn't for the ears I'd say you were dead right. Not sure about the girls though.

    Excellent piece of research Philly.

That will help narrow it down a good bit.

Nice to see the wall eyed man getting a name.

I'm quite surprised their's so few unnamed extras in this. I'll have to have a look at it some time to see if I've missed any.

Movie Dude regarding Carry on Constable, John Langley was the boy in the cart unnamed extra 7, I think you posted the boy pushing the cart as John formally UE8, its looking good now, the other tied up vanman , the pretty passerby and the shopper look familiar, next step is to find other caps for them and get Unknown status which will be a step closer to identifying them.

Downfall UE12 is Unknown Male 8

and to point out for the heck of it, Victor Brooks is wearing the same checked coat he did in Goldfinger. 'Bring Your Wardrobe to Work' day.
