Having a little difficulty with this one Philly.

    The first 14 look like a least two (or more) different people to my eyes. eg1 - 2 & 4 don't look the same and eg2 -10 & 12 don't either.

The last one (from Gideon's Way - State Visit is plainly not him) you must have meant someone else.

Plus, there's nothing called The Deadly Captive in The Four Just Men. There is The Deadly Capsule but only 6 unknowns (not 35) I'm afraid. I've searched around for what you might have meant but I can't find anything that fits.

Yes, thank you. Should've identified Tony Castleton for goodness sake (fooled by the glasses)! Pleasantly surprised to have recognised Unknown Male 56 though. I didn't get as far as screencapping the scene where some men are carrying the trunk with Carl Duering inside but in real time I thought one of them might be Peter Avella.

Your wish is Granted, Movie Dude*. Is it the same actor?:

The Wild Geese (1978) and Old Man's Fancy (1964)

A Butler in both productions but he's credited as 'Denison' in the (untransmitted) Armchair Theatre play.

*In case you missed it, I posted a screencap of Angela Grant at the new Vintage Radios on Screen thread.

    Thanks Cornershop. Good sleuthing.

I can certainly see the similarities between these two. Pity they are both so blurred. It looks like he put on a lot of weight in 15 years, he looks 30 years older. Nice pic of Angela Grant. I will put her in soon.

Sorry Movie Dude a couple of typos there , it is the Deadly Capsule but it is UE2 I meant, State Visit is 4 not 14 sorry. I am comfortable that they are all the same, i have seen this guy many times in the films i have watched over the last two years and can spot him a mile off. As i have said before i am always happy to agree to disagree, if you think two of them are the same person then that makes an Unknown Male, it's great you have posted the pics it gives a better chance of identification. What does everyone else think ? Gerald, Dave i am sure you must have both spotted him.

I think dissolute has a couple of caps from the altenate John Dennison in The Avengers at his site.

    Ray Schock (1922)

On Ray's page i think there is a lookalike, particularly in Crooks Anonymous, The 'Ray' in Password is Courage' appeared in Crooks in the same scene as the 'Ray' on the page and there are slight differences, could one of them be his brothers Ernest Marcel Schock (1920-1994) or George Schock (1917) information on these was provided by Scott Palmer in 2013 on this thread.
In Battle of the Sexes, unnamed extra 3 looks like a much older Ray Schock lookalike, could this be the father Frank Schock (1893-1973)?

OK. The more I look at him Philly. the more I think he 'is' probably all the same person. Except perhaps number 6. By the time I do him number 6 will probably be him as well.

I've often seen Ray Schock's page and thought the same as you. But I think that about other pages as well. To many look alikes. I think we probably need some people who knew him well to decide which is which.

Thanks Philly. Added to the list. I've also added the first one from the first batch. Only half a dozen though.
The ones that look the most convincing to me. He's the new Unknown Male 82

Thanks Movie Dude, at least we have a hook (UM82) to refer to this very prolific actor now, he has appeared a few times at 'Sighted...' in the last year or so, i don't have Dave's talent for nicknames (you know the Hypochondriac Cavalier type ones, lol).

I must have been inspired when I wrote those descriptions. . .

    Day the Earth Caught Fire:
    UE76 Fred Berman
    UE121 Brian Cant?
UE dead ringer for Russell Napier. Is it?

    The Time Machine
    UE2 Alan Young in 1960s old-age makeup :)

    Genevieve:
    UE6 Joe Clarke
UE8 and 21 and 34 same bloke, think he might be one of the newer UMs
UE9 Arthur Denton (still not 100% sure)
    UE10 Ernest Blyth, of course
    UE17 Billy Russell
    UE57 Joe Robinson
    UE63 Beatrice Shelley
UE74 almost always plays cops, looks like Fred Haggerty but longer face. have you seen him before Philly?
    UE76 UM74

You have done it again Dave, coming up with unfamiliar names in Genevieve, i don't know how you do it.
Definitely Fred Berman in Day the Earth, i agree with you that One Hundred and Twenty Three looks like Russel Napier but i don't think it's him, i have spent some time with this film and i am still working on it, this is what i have so far

    UE2&37 Michael Moyer
    UE3 UM82
    UE9 Arthur Mayne
    UE36 Fred Davis
    UE40 Dave Griffiths
    UE42 Howard Pays
    UE47 Paul Phillips
    UE67 Edith Raye
(UE101 Is John Tatum but a cap of him in a different part of the film wearing the same uniform is listed on the main page)
    UE107 Avril Kappes
    UE121 Roy Semley
(UE131 is Jim Mcmanus but an alternate cap is listed on the main page)
UE's 52, 63 and 102 are all unknown candidates in waiting.
Fred Davis, Howard Pays, Paul Phillips, UM82 and Dave Griffiths are inconclusive caps but i have viewed the first four on the Blu-Ray several times and i am sure it is them, handily Dave Griffiths role is shown in close up in the stills gallery to confirm him.

I haven't spotted Terence Soall, Terry Walsh, Glyn Dearman, Terry Brooks or Basil Beale (as a Policeman) yet

Spotted but not capped Johnny Wyne, Ned Lynch, Terry Sartain, Dickey Luck, Tex Fuller, Tony Castleton, Jack Silk, George Hilsdon, Hilda Green, Graham Tonbridge, Manny Michael, Harry Phipps, George Spence, Pat Ryan, Guy Standeven, Richard Gregory, Bill Rooney, UF32, UF35, UM13, UM14, UM36, UM79, UM98

Thanks Philly. Joe Clarke is also the bullion van driver in The Lavender Hill Mob, gets a nice "oh, crikey!" closeup, but I couldn't find him in Movie Dude's unknowns.

I think Glyn Dearman might be UE124, not many pics of him older to go by.
