Not an answer, I know, but this might be Unknown Female 3 again centre front in The Camp on Blood Island (1957):

Barbara Shelley and Mary Merrall behind her.

Well remembered Gerald. It certainly looks her. And I think the lady on the left helping to carry the coffin(?) is Pat Lewis.

Number 8 might be Fred Owen, who is credited as a henchman in one of the Dick Barton films, and whom I have seen in other things (notably Captain Horatio Hornblower). If I recall correctly he was one of the early members of the stunt guild founded after WW2.

Good try Dave but this image from Captain Horatio Hornblower (courtesy of Aveleyman.com) shows a passing resemblance but as you can see its not him.

    Meanwhile here are some more

    Unknown Male Number 12

    Unknown Male Number 13

The last two have appeared here before. Maybe they can jog a memory or two now.

To Aitch and Movie Dude: The guy in the pictures is Harry Phipps (1911-1978) also nicknamed The Chocolate Mouse. Did films from the early forties onwards.

And I am certain Number 9 is Sir Basil Bartlett (1905-1985), who was head of the BBC script department in the 1950s. He had trained as an actor in the 1930s before embarking on a military career.

I think Sir Basil is credited in Horatio Hornblower if that helps to identify him, i only have two credits for him however. He wrote the script to Next of Kin especially for Winston Churchill i think, he was in a "secret service" type military career helping to despatch spies covertly, his nephew told me.

Having looked at Theodore Wilhelm on the web, I'd have to say that its not him even though he's a fair lookalike. Basil Bartlett was born 1905 which would make him nearly sixty years old in the late fifties. My pictures show a man about 30 to 40 years old. So, good try but I don't think it can be him either. Sorry no coconut I'm afraid.

He certainly looks like the man in the first picture:

From the Daily Mirror, 31st January 1934. Did you know he was the husband of presenter Mary Malcolm, Dave?
Their wedding took place at the Church of St. Bartholomew-the-Great, Smithfield, London on 5th January 1937.

Yes, I did cornershop! Here are Basil and his wife Mary in a Getty image dated 3 January 1952, right after he had been appointed the BBC script supervisor.

And here is Basil in Captain Hornblower:

Now not so certain, but there is a strong resemblance, age notwithstanding.

I have Wilhelm down in my cast lists for each of the films you have unknown 13 in,so am sure it is him.

    Best,
    Dave W

You have 'cast lists' for each of the films I have ??? Sounds like gold dust to me. Are they available on the net anywhere? If you have them then I think you must be correct.

Good work guys, Theodore Wilhelm (who always looked older than he was). I've sent Dave Wright a couple of pictures I had of him in horror films Blood of the Vampire and The Trollenberg Terror, both from 1958.
