In The Beatles film "A Hard Days Night" unnamed extra no 103 is John Adams, i think no 25 has been named but i cant recall the name, Gerald Lovell will know and i think no 73 is one of your most wanted.

Thanks Philly. You've reminded me to get on with doing the other corrections.

Hello again, Movie Dude. Very much out of sorts with the changing weather conditions (hot and humid at the moment) but I've managed to put together this gallery, comprising of uncredited actors in The V.I.P.s, from your Unnamed Extras page*), and some hopefully accurate comparisons. I know I'm right with #3 and 6:

Maybe Peter Illing? | Virginia Bedard? | Richard Caldicot | Nadja Regin? | Edmond Bennett? | definitely Gordon Sterne:

*Other possibilities: 30 - Barry Steele?; 41 - Jean St. Clair?; 43 - Harold Coyne?; 60 - Griffith Davies? Which of the Air Hostesses is Jill Carson?

Definately Richard Caldicot on the bottom row.
Top row, far right I think is Jack May.

Thanks Cornershop. Excellent sightings as usual.

I think you are right about Virginia Bedard, Richard Caldicot, Gordon Sterne and Harold Coyne. Will do them shortly.

Not sure about the rest though.

    Additional.............

I must also thank Gerald and Roger Simons who (I have just noticed) have already pointed out one of two of those.

Neither one of those pictures is Harold Coyne. And that's definitely Jack May, not Gordon Sterne. Bedard and Caldicot are right, though.

    Let's try again ...

L-R: #43 - Harold Coyne?; Gordon Sterne in The Saint; Jack May in Cat Girl; and ... I still think that's Gordon Sterne:

Or did they mean the other Jack May (even less likely)? Gordon is (un)credited as an 'Official'. Do you still have the full image, Movie Dude?

Now that is definitely Harold Coyne. My fault for misinterpreting your original post. I still think that's likely Jack May, but the sour expression (so typical of him) might be biasing me. Gordon Sterne had a fuller face with thicker lips (and more forehead space).

I went back and had another look. Here's the big image which shows our man. But now looking less like Gordon Sterne than before. Plus, he is a passenger, not an official.

Yep, not Gordon or Jack. Looks thrilled to be seated behind Mr. Welles, though!

Thanks for taking the time to go back to that scene, Movie Dude. I was so certain that's Gordon Sterne. To add to my disappointment, you've reminded me of that elusive issue of Country Life (aren't they all?). Similarly Harpers, which Richard Burton shows to Elizabeth Taylor in another scene. I've just posted at 'Magazines in Films' actually ...

As confirmed at the 'Sighted' thread (post #2515), I recognised several uncredited actors in Eight O'Clock Walk (1953)
earlier this week - among them Patrick Jordan and Walter Horsbrugh - and also spotted three (?) of your Unknown Males:

Not so sure about the third:

In (l-r) Ivanhoe, The Pure Hell of St. Trinian's and The Vicious Circle

Gerald, I'm sure the Reporter with Robert Bathurst (who I didn't recognise) in your capture from Eight O'Clock Walk is Godfrey Winn.

Happy to help Cornershop. I also thought it was Gordon Sterne. But you did help me spot Dave Griffiths who I had missed first time round.

You are certainly correct about #45 and #47. Not so sure about #38 though. Meanwhile I think that may be Peter Rendall peeping out from behind Ian Hunter's right cheek.

That's Peter Rendall--poor chap never had much hair, apparently.

No. 25 is Ray Marioni, I think.

I think you are right Gerald. I went back and found a better shot. It certainly looks like Ray.

While trying to do some corrections I came across this guy. Obviously a American actor but he seems to be quite prolific so I assume he is well known. Possibly Jack 'Kenny'???

Looks like Jack Kenny to me. Those big ears!

Jack Kenny in The Rifleman (my shot of him in House of Wax on Aveleyman is wrong and needs fixing)
