Of course. Bill Brandon. I've been looking at those images for so long wondering who he reminds me of. I need new glasses. Thanks Gerald.

I've had to use another name for the time being (problems uploading etc) but it is only me, MovieDude.
Number 1 seems to have been identified by Scott Palmer on "Sighted, are there you are" as Fred Woods, based on me assuming it was him in "The Magnificent Seven Deadly Sins" and Wearysloth putting up screencaps of same.
It's clearly not Fred Wood though so i presume there is a Fred Wood and a Fred Woods.

Added my postscript just after your reply Gerald, i have seen your posts with "Fred Wood" the cigarette man, clearly not the man here. Scott Palmer called the chap in the wearysloth screencap from Magnificent seven deadly sins, "Fred Woods (The Face)", i am sure this is Moviedude's male unknown number 1 allowing for aging from the 50's to 1971, however Aitch has referred to your Fred Wood as Fred Woods following one of your posts, mystery or mistake ?

I think Scott was referring to the screencap from The Dark Stairway with Fred Woods being the cab driver. I'm not sure if it's Wood or Woods, but as Aitch has said in the past, "there can only be one Fred Wood(s)!"

Whitstablejim refered to Number 1 as a stand-in for Robert Mitchum. The only Mitchum stand-in I can find is Tim Wallace. Could it be him?

I made a mistake with Fred Woods sorry, i noticed the Tim Wallace name when googling Robert Mitchum stunt double, would he be American though ?, did RM do many British films ? maybe he just doubled for them, he seems to be British based , he is a regular in Marius Goring's "The Adventures of the Scarlet Pimpernel" even talking in one episode but alas no credit.

It was also a suprise to me Philly that Number 1 could be a double for Robert Mitchum. As far as I know, Mitchum didn't work on any British made films. If not then Number 1 must have done a lot of travelling across the Atlantic. Nice work if you can get it.

Sad to think some of you don't remember Robert Mitchum making films in England-he did at least half a dozen, including Fire Down Below, The Angry Hills, A Terrible Beauty, The Sundowners, The Grass is Greener, Man in the Middle, Ryan's Daughter and The Big Sleep. Harold Sanderson acted as his double in all these films.

Harry you are correct, no 42 is Johnny Lynn, as for no1, I think we need help from stunt people, I am sure Rocky Tailor would remember him and his name,

Thanks Aitch. There is a marked resemblance between these two. I used to think they were the same person but I'm fairly sure now that they are not. Here they are appearing together in two different films. (maybe I have the names the wrong way round)

I also worked on "Reunion at Fairborough" 1985 tv film, Robert Mitcham, Deborah Kerr, Red Buttons, Barry Morse, and Roy Beck was Robert Mitchams stand-in, and I was stand-in for Barry Morse.
    Also no38 is Cyral ????
