I remember seeing part of a spy film a long while ago.
There was a scene in it where somebody was having an "eye test"
(presumably at an optician's) and the "optician" put some kind of
drug into the person's eyes to dilate the pupils or something.
But it was a trap, and the substance that he put in the person's
    eyes blinded the person.
Does anyone know what this film is called?

Welcome back ZZ. I'm sure you're referring to the opening scene in Arabesque (1966). George Coulouris is the unfortunate victim and I think the optician may have been John Merivale.
