I think that the user review on IMDb might give a clue - it doesn't sound very nice, and with the changed situation in Northern Ireland, a repeat broadcast might not be welcome

Plenty of other stuff like it from the same time is around and available.
Cal and Harry's Game to name a couple.

But repeat showings not too long after original screenings were pretty common.

As for 'not very nice' that can apply to loads of things. I recall being shocked at the phone box scene from Holding On.

Have Cal or Harry's Game been shown on BBC TV since the peace process started (openly)?

There's also a difference between something that upsets a few delicate souls and something which almost every report describes as just nasty

Hence my specific reference to repeat showings soon after the original screening over 20 years ago.

But both Cal and Harry's Game are still freely available.

There certainly is. Does that one review of the series on IMDB really count as almost every report?

Thank heavens that people's disapproval doesn't routinely result in removing any trace eh?
