In an attempt to create a 'name the film' game that can't be run through Google, I have come up with this.

I don't expect it to run and run.

The idea is to invent a bit of dialogue that doesn't come from a film, but could have, if the scriptwriter had been a bit less imaginative than they usually are.

For example, which film did not contain this line (if you see what I mean):

    "That's not a mine, it's a can of beans!"

    Nope!
But yes, it's a British film. Classic scene from a stone-cold British classic that I just rewatched.

(think about 'mine' rather than 'bomb')

The difficulty is in finding quotes that aren't to be found in the IMDb, Google or any other online resource - but that are still recognisable

It's the scene where gorgeous-thighed Anthony Quayle and tiny dipso John Mills are trying to lead their truck carefully through a minefield, and Quayle stands on a landmine ... Mills carefully removes the sand around it ... and it turns out to be an empty can, rather than a landmine. Takes big South African blowhard Quayle down a peg or two.
Only the point of the game, such as it is, is that nobody actually says those lines. It'd be like "Oh, get on the plane - you'll be happier with him in the long run!" from another film also set in North Africa.
