    This is now out on Blu Ray which apparently restores the 10s or so of whipping originally cut by the BBFC and missing from the earlier DVD release.

    This is a particular favoirite of mine, I tend to watch it at least once a year. Sixties Britain collides with 1600s curse and family revenge, great score, locations, lovely ladies spooky atmosphere. Greymarsh worth a visit on witches night. How does Bozzer get up into that attic in that wheelchair all of a sudden towards the end? 😁

    Yes, much improved viewing.. I had a grainy copy of bothnthe US crimson cult and the UK crimson altar on the laptop...now have a copy of the bluray also, can make out what is actually going on in some of the darker scenes...and see Victoria's nip per ples in true hue.
