A very very old memory, 35 years ago at least.

I remember a family being introduced to what seemed to be an experimental undersea home, in very vivid 60s technicolour. As usual for Hollywood there was amazing clarity of water at about 1000 feet down!

I remember the wife being shown the flat topped cooker, where the hob glowed red when a hand was waved over it. This seemed amazing at the time (we had gas!) and I'm always reminded of the film when I switch on our ceramic hob today!

I did wonder if it was part of Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea (the movie), but that was more of an action film IIRC. Could this have been part of the subsequent TV series?

    Cheers

Can't remember the "hip" musical element, it seemed more like science fiction at the time, but I must have been all of 7 years old.

Glad Richard Dreyfuss ditched the singing aspirations - gawd, was that dubbed or his own voice?
