Brilliant, Phil, I'll be getting it. One of the few (perhaps the only) TV spin-off that's just as funny on film as it was on the small screen. Jimmy Edwards was perfect as the cane wielding, whiskey swigging headmaster. A bit un-PC these days, though, as he invents a device to cane six boys at the same time with a 12 foot long cane. Some hilarious Frank Muir and Denis Norden dialogue:

BISHOP: "Professor Edwards, this is Lady Gore-Willoughby, the chairman of the school governors."

JIM: "Chairman? Well, what's he doing dressed up as a woman?"

BISHOP: "He is...I mean she IS a woman!"
