Some great scans of the Chitty Chitty Bang Bang premiere, Stephen. Those huge, 2 and a half pounds in weight souvenir brochures look really interesting. I wonder what became of them, as they've never turned up on eBay. Surprising that Adrian Hall and Heather Ripley weren't prominent at the premiere, as they had such major roles in the film. All we get is a shot of the back of Heather and nothing of Adrian. But surely he must have been there as well.

I was at the (considerably less starry) Scottish premier of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang in Edinburgh and I'm sure Heather Ripley was there.

Great batch, Stephen. Fascinating how many of the films they were so excited about are totally forgotten now.

Great thread Stephen. much appreciate the trouble you go to with these high resolution scans. Love the artwork and vintage ads - absolutely top notch!

Going back to the posting on 26/12/2014 (No. 208) and the article headed "Automation" the writer is very advance-looking when referring to 1988 as the year of technology expertise!
