Never heard of Decline & Fall ...of a Birdwatcher before. Apparently it wasn't much good.

It's a bit aimless - Leo McKern was doing The Prisoner at MGM around the same time, so a must for "The Prisoner" fans - looks expensive, but little substance - runs out of steam and just ends.

Nor had I heard of Victoria Vetri who they were making a great fuss of in this issue. Seems like she really didn't go on to great things.

Late 1968 and it seems like the great British movie boom of the mid-'60s was stuttering to its end.

"A Matter of Honour" was released as "The Reckoning" in 1970. From what I can glean it sounds a little like "Get Carter".

It's a great little film. Went to pass a wet Sunday afternoon when it came out. Quality Jack Gold picture very well paced. Nicol Williamson is brilliant as is the whole cast and its got an excellent ending.

If it weren't for these threads, I may not have known which issue my favourite actress is reading (Thank you, Stephen):

Billie Whitelaw with the 27th May 1967 Kine Weekly in Twisted Nerve (1968). Alternative shots at Magazines in Films.

I'm not well enough to use the big machines anymore. In the last few days, however, I've learned about something called a Mobile Scanner. The link below includes the demonstration I saw on QVC. Will probably buy from Amazon as they have something similar at half the price and more positive customer reviews. I can't believe technology these days ...

I wonder if garlic was on the menu at the Hilton Hotel Roof Restaurant.

I'm surprised nothing has been mentioned about 'Captain Nemo and the Floating City'. Sequences had already been filmed in Malta and the Red Sea.

Don't you mean Captain Nemo and the Underwater City, Anthony? The one that starred Robert Ryan and was in production at around that time?

I'll stick with 'Floating' for the time being - but we are talking about the same film.
