Hi, this is a black and white film.

I'm pretty sure it was Sean Connery and the era would be 1950/60s.

I have looked on IMBD and can't find anything that fits the bill.

Sean's character has a wife who is a slattern. It may be due to alcohol, I'm not sure, but she can't look after the house properly and is an embarrassment to Sean. They may have had a son.

I think Sean has an affair or wants to have an affair but his loyalties are completely torn and it ends with him staying with his wife, possibly out of pity and 'doing the right thing' by not abandoning her.

I am 99.9% sure it's Sean Connery but the fact I can't find the film I'm looking for, may indicate a similar looking actor!

I would love to know the the name of the film. If anyone can recall the film I am thinking of, I would be ever so grateful.

    Many thanks.

Yes, I think that is it!

Why on earth I remembered it as being Sean Connery, I don't know!

    Thank you DocRobertPepper.
