Can anyone tell me the source (book or website) which mentions Ken Hughes directing Charles K. Feldmans Casino Royale at MGM Borehamwood Studios, telephoning Val Guest who was directing a portion of the same movie at Shepperton Studios, attempting to get their sections of the film to fit together?

The only other thing I can remember is the word dovetail was used.

    Any information gratefully accepted.

Although it's not quite in point, in Val Guest's autobiography So You Want To Be in Pictures, he says:

Somehow we began shooting on the scheduled dates with each of us four directors, John Huston, Ken Hughes, Joe McGrath and myself, managing to pull our rewritten segments together and cope with Charlie's [Feldman] overnight inspirations as well as those early morning phone calls telling us who to write into whatever sequence was coming up.

    Thanks for responding to this.

I'm familar with the passage you speak of in So You Want To Be in Pictures, though its not the one I was thinking of, of which I still cannot remember the source.

I'm fairly certain it was not a magazine article or on the web and so that only leaves books.
