There is a clip from a British film on YouTube of a 'nightclub' trio singing a novelty song called "Spaceship Boogie".
Does anyone know who the trio might be, the name of the film or the actors that this clip was taken from?
    Any info much appreciated!

Well, the actor sitting at the table is Griffith Jones, who made quite a few British films in the 1950s (you'll find a list of them on the IMDb). If I could put a name to the girl sitting at the table with him, it'd be much easier to find the title.

I can't identify the film, and the clip's pretty low-res, but I think the actor seen in the first few seconds seated at a table with a girl is Griffith Jones.

Might work as a starting point.

I always was a fast gun, Chuck. Winifred Atwell brought out an instrumental version of Spaceship Boogie in April, 1957, on Decca. So the film probably dates from around that time. It could be Account Rendered or Kill Her Gently, I suppose (both supporting films).

Ah, that's where I know it from. I used to sell records on Ebay and often popped any Winnie I came across on the platter.

Thanks guys for your invaluable input, to which I can only say........."BINGO!"

The film is called STAR OF MY NIGHT (1954) and the perpetrators of the 'astronomical' boogie woogie was THE MALCOLM MITCHELL TRIO. Formed in October of 1949 until 1954. Malcolm Mitchell - guitar; Johnny Pearson - piano; and Teddy Broughton - Bass.

I can now sleep at night.
