Lawrence P. Bachmann, screenwriter turned producer, was acting head of MGM British studios in the early sixties. Under his watch the studio produced the Miss Marple film series.

In early 1965 he'd finished "The Secret of My Success" and was working on "Bleak House" and a Warsaw Ghetto project then.....

1978 he announces he will be filming "Brian Clark's stage hit, "Whose Life Is It Anyway?"

Can anyone fill in the gaps? Did he resign from MGM, was he sacked? What did he do between 1965 and 1978?
