First post, joined this forum in 2013, so long time lurker...

Saw this on television several times in the late 70s and/or early 80s, if memory serves. There's a gun in the zoom lens of a television camera, which I think in the finale is mounted on the top of a television van. The finale is in a park, at some sort of military tattoo or gun carriage demonstration, and the baddie is trampled underfoot by the horses of the Household Cavalry or similar horse-mounted unit as he tries to get away (complete with some dodgy back-projection that was pretty ropey even for the time). I think they were trying to assassinate a member of royalty. The television camera was one of those old 'lens turret' ones.

Thanks for any help you can give me!

The film you are thinking of - http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0064193/

    The baddie was Francis Matthews.

The entire film, can be seen on YouTube - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cU_LaWMvGIw
