It there a reliable guide available as to which Gainsborough Pictures were shot where, particularly during the 1940's.

For instance 'The Magic Bow' was this Lime Grove or Islington?

"The Adventures of Tartu" - made at 'Gainsborough Studios' - again Islington or Lime Grove.

I would suggest Gainsborough Pictures by Pam Cook which does contain a filmography which indicates where most of them were filmed.

Yes, Pam Cook's book says Lime Grove for The Magic Bow.

Thanks for that - I'll keep an eye out for a cheap copy on Abe.

I don't know how reliable the Google Books search is, but it could not find "Tartu" in the text. I'll assume Lime Grove given the production dates.

The book is recommended if you're interested in Gainsborough. There is also the information on IMDB as well.
