Apparantly "Akenfield" is not currently available through either video or Dvd.

With luck one of our members may have recorded a copy that they can share.

If you havn't already seen it Jim there is a website dedicated to the telemovie at-

    www.akenfield.com

Peggy Cole is alive and well and still living in her beloved Suffolk. A lovely lady who I met a couple of times before 'Akenfield' as she was a very keen gardener and opened her garden for charity.

Although 'Akenfield' was fictional and filmed around the Clopton area, there is a small village not far from me called Akenfield.

Amazon list it, but show it as "currently unavailable".
    Might be worth checking again?

Thanks Chevyman. I hadn't seen that on ebay, so I'll go for it, so long as it doesn't end up getting to a silly price. 3 bids so far...doesn't look like a bootleg either, some sort of limited edition.

Maybe a late bid tomorrow evening might secure it? It gives you time to check out the seller's feedback and send them questions too.

Aha, this has been merged with an old thread.
    It is available from Akenfield

I'll see what happens on ebay, but looks like it might be ok to get afterall.
