I have watched Fisrt a Girl (fabulous!) and Head over heels (ok) very recently. Apparently the best British musical made in the 30's was Evergreen and from the clips i have found on YouTube it looks pretty impressive.
So if it is that good, why on earth isn't it available on DVD or Video?
Has anyone ever found a release of it?

Nostalgia Family Video - Quality Videos Since 1989
I don't know if our VHS plays on British VCR's though. The only film I have of hers is Climbing High and I purchased that through this company, so they're reliable to do business with.
I also have those Jessie Matthews titles, as well as Gangway - a particular favorite of mine. All ok to good quality. Send me a message if you want them.
Nostalgia Family Video have a great list of flicks, but they're still doing tape to tape copies! Not good - how long have dvd recorders been around? 6, 7 years?
Evergreen did get an official VHS release in the UK on the Conniseur label (1992) but along with all of Jessie's other films we are still waiting for any to appear on dvd.
