You can view THE WILD AND THE WILLING at the BFI Mediatheques.....

ITV now control this Rank release.

LIVE NOW PAY LATER was released through REGAL INTERNATIONAL in 1963, so Rank/ITV have no involvement.

I am not sure who now controls the Regal titles........

I have my mum to thank for my knowledge of this film, and I have a treasured copy of it as well. I know people sometimes compare it to Alfie, but I think it is better, personally. There's a review on Britmovie proper which states that Ian Hendry brings no charm to the role of Albert the travelling salesman who delivers a bit more than goods on HP to his lady buyers, but c'mon, please. He's totally charming in this; he wouldn't get the girls if he wasn't. Now in Alfie Michael Caine was a bit of a wide boy too but came across as irritating.

Anyway, despite it now being an obscure film and probably held in rights hell, I would recommend it to those who like stuff of the Saturday Night and Sunday Morning/Room at the Top ilk. I intend to watch it again very soon and do some screencaps either here or at Ian's thread. I'm currently planning a wider tribute post to him at my blog as well.

Two caps from Live Now, Pay Later. Didn't quite really how poor quality my copy is ... still, it's a good film:

Here, Albert does his best to sell a carpet to an unsuspecting housewife ... successfully, of course!

And here things are characteristically cool with June Ritchie:

Has it finally made it out officially? Oh good! This is my off-air 2nd gen copy so would be great to upgrade. Off to have a dig around ...

I was surprised at that news and did a www search, but I could only find dodgy Arthur Daley type sellers alas.

Have a look at iOffer: A Place to Buy, Sell & Trade it looks like they have an official looking copy, probably the same as mine. Regal Films on the cover.

Yes that is one of the examples I found in my search, nice work using Photoshop by Mr Daley there though.
