    does anyone know if there is any kind of launch

    for the dvd have family who where in original film who where native islanders i was also on the island of foula when they filmed the return altough only about four or five at the time

    Nothing special being planned that I've heard of. The BFI sent me a review copy and various reviews of that and the American DVD are at the P&P web site along with a table of the differences in the extras on each DVD.

    They emailed be all their advertising blurb.



    Actually I think they've done a good job on this one. Subtitles on the commentary track as well as the film itself (& all the other extras). A good documentary on the evacuation of St Kilda that gave Powell the original idea. They even dug out some clips of Joe Rock (producer) when he was a silent film comic.



    And the quality of the film is superb. Amazing for a 1937 film.
