I see Jenny has not got her own topic yet so I will start one.
She has made some incredible films: The Railway Children; Walkabout; American Werewolf in London. Her turns in Logan's Run, The Eagle Has Landed, Equus and I start Counting are all memorable. I think it is sad that her career fizzled out so early, and it was nice to see her back in Spooks. I think if British film industry had been as strong as it was in 1960s, she would enjoy similar stature to Julie Christie. As it is, for someone who emerged during trying times, she has not done badly to produce three or four classics.

That's a great photo of her.
Obviously a very sexy lady but....maybe it's a throwback to the Railway Children...I can only think of her as being very innocent.

I saw her in a re-run of The Allan Clarke Diaries last year and it was unfortunate that playing his wife she didn't get a very big role. Even more bizarre was when she played a woman on her death bed at the very start of the recent new series of Marple. Waste of time, why didn't they just put an extra in the bed!
It's a shame that our childhood icons have to get older, but Jenny Agutter still has the looks, the grace and the charm when we sometimes get a chance to see her in a decent role!

I remembered her in the role she played in the Railway Children. But it was the scene or should i say the very steamy scene in "An American Werwolf In London" where she was making love to Griffen Dunne who was to be the next Werwolf? Hello you fellow J.A. fans. Just to put a correct balance on things I feel I should mention her childhood films. There was Ballerina made by Disney and East of Sudan. I've never seen either, have any of you? If yes, how about an appraisal?

I must admit our Jenny was looking a little older than her years in some scenes, but nice to see her again! Keith Barron and Anita Dobson were in it too, and the most unconvincing trans-sexual I've ever seen (not that I go actively seeking them out) played brilliantly by Nicholas Jones. How the cast could keep a straight face during the scenes with him I just don't know, it was hilarious!!

Ah but a young Jennifer did do something like that when she blasted to death the lard bucket of a yokel boyfriend in "The Eagle Has Landed"! Didn't Mike Moran first come into our lives as the writer of the Magpie childrens' ITV programme theme in the 70's?Mike Moran did that. Mike Moran also co-wrote "Rock Bottom" with Lynsey De Paul and "Barcelona" with Freddie Mercury.

And it was in Norfolk and justified because Jenny's victim was technically a burglar, caught in the act of going through Donald Sutherland's things. Hewas rightly suspicious and didn't believe Sutherland was just an Irish marsh warden (and with that attempt at an Irish accent, not many of the audience did either)!
