Pasolini did a film called 'The First Test Match', oh hang on that's a Monty Python sketch. " Who ees a Geoff a-Boycott?"

I quite enjoyed the George and Mildred film, especially to see an old edition of the TV Times and hear Brian " The Devils" Murphy mention 'Tiswas'. There's something wonderfully not-made-for-the-international-market about the film.

it is sad to see yootha joyce looking so desperately ill though. she died before the film was released i think

    Never mind the films!!!

The best script ever written in cricket has been played out - in real life!

The Edgbaston Test Match was a classic - and the right result came in the nick of time.

    Encore!!

I often wondered what happened to Norman Tebbit's 'Cricket Test'...

How do you come out on that one son ?

    Dave.

Tebbit's infamous test of how much immigrants had integrated into the UK - did they support England or their home country in test matches between the two.

Strangely enough, he didn't apply it to Australians, New Zealanders or South Africans who had moved here.

Thanks Fellwanderer, now I see the light....or should that be bad light?

You can take the Englishman out of England but you cannot take England out of the Englishman.

That is unless Australia win the Ashes again [
