When cable television started on the Bravo channel there used to be old 1950/60's crime programmes - can't remember the exact titles - but something like Scotland Yard Mysteries...Why can't they have a channel devoted to old black and white TV programmes - better than the crud they are currently showing!

The old Bravo is sadly missed by many of us. They decided to abandon the old films and re-brand themselves for the Yoof market.

    A terrible decision (IMHO)

I still have loads of old Bravo tapes with some films on that haven't shown up anywhere else. Their slogan used to be 'Time Warp Television'.

Sadly for us, the stuff they're showing now brings in more money from would-be advertisers.

Was it here that I read that their opening jingle was meant as an homage to the old ATV 'three circles' opener ?

Yes, the old BRAVO was a cracking channel ; thank goodness for Network DVD in its absence. They are allegedly due to release MAN FROM INTERPOL at some point - another series which was originally resurrected by BRAVO.

We shall see (to quote the Edgar Wallace title...)
