I would say Stocker's Copper is one of the finest things I've seen from the PFT strand. Of course, I've seen very few, but if only 10% meet that kind of quality then the whole series is a miracle.

That touched a nerve, The one that struck me as a really good play was Red Sails In The Sunset, and nearly as good, No Tram To Lime Street. In the age of so many repeats will we ever get to see them again I wonder. Good luck with your search anyway.

Am looking for The Jumping Bean Bag 1976 Play For Today starring David Dixon, Tim Curry. I remember seeing this when I was 15, but don't think has ever been repeated here.

I would love to obtain a copy of this classic on dvd. Does anyone out there have this gem? I have a fair amount to trade, or will cover reasonable costs.

Hi - I'm looking for "Play for Today"s and other programmes which my late father appeared in, I haven't seen these since they were televised, does anyone know where I could find these?

    "Play for Today" .....

    - England's Greens and Peasant Land (1982)

    - The Mayor's Charity (1977)

Not sure if this was a "Play for Today" but

"Ready When You Are Mr. McGill" (Red Letter Day) (1976)

I'm also looking for these too

"Days of Hope" (1975) TV mini-series

“The Wild West Show” (1975): Melvyn’s Maruaders

    "Three Days in Szczecin" (1975)

There wasn't a lot of VHS's around in those days and I wonder if these progs have gone for good.

I would be very grateful in any help in finding these.

    All the best

    Hi

I'm wondering if any kind soul has got a VHS or DVD copy of the brilliant 70s Play for Today "Sunset Across The Bay". I've always wanted to see it again and have searched all over for it with no luck.

Another programme I'd love to see again is the Aussie (I think) mini-series version of A Town Like Alice starring Bryan Brown and Helen Morse. Again, I've been searching for ages and was briefly thrilled to be able to buy a VHS copy off Ebay, but sadly the quality is so bad it's unwatchable, which is really frustrating.
