    Hi guys and gals

Can anyone name an oldie from (probably) the sixties? The main plot is an attempt to rig the betting in an important horserace by shooting the favorite (the horse, not the jockey).

The hired assassin is waiting at an isolated part of the track. As he prepares his telescopic rifle, a course official of some sort (who is black) comes over and begins a polite conversation with him.

As the start of the race looms the assassin has no choice but to insult the guy with a racist comment in order to get him to go away.

    Any ideas?

    Regards piroflip

In The Killing, the shooting of the horse was to cause a distraction while the gang robbed the racetrack betting office. Joseph Losey once said that his racetrack robbery in The Criminal was kept short in deference to Kubrick's elaborate robbery.
