I heard on the radio, fleetingly, that the complete Tales of Unexpected has just been released on DVD.

So did I - it was mentioned by Brian Blessed on the Steve Wright Show. I believe he was in my favourite episode with Susan George, whose husband has been murdered.

    Hello Chaps,

BlackNun has reported problems on another forum, details here

I've got as far as.......er.....Susan George.... and I haven't noticed anything.

Mind you, my mince-pies are not what they used to be, but I normally notice sync problems.

PQ is ok, no extras, no restoration.

Too true there must be something wrong with them if you got as far as Susan George and didn't notice anything

    Hi Mark 10101

I’ve been watching the repeats of Tales of the unexpected every week so far on ITV3 on a Friday night (the repeats of Friday’s episodes is also on Sunday). I haven’t noticed any episode so far with a couple attacked by Rats, but for my birthday I got the DVD of The TV series Beasts. It was also an anthology series shown on ITV but was written by Nigel Kneale. One of the episodes of Beasts is called During Barty’s Party were a couple are trapped in there house by a horde of rats. I haven’t watch this episode yet as it’s the last one but I’m looking forward to seeing how it works as your suppose to never actually see the rats but just hear them.

I hope this has been helpful.

Brilliant series I think made by Anglia television

such great quality , I would think that any actor

or actress would love to appear in an episode

Susan George, Liza Goddard, Judy Bowker , Sheila Gish etc, they ve all

    appeared in the series.

Roal Dahl was a great short story writer

We need another series , based on another collection

    of short stories.

I m sure there d be no end of actors and actresses

quequeing up to make an appearance

... eg Patsy Palmer, Deborah Stephenson, Carol Cleveland,

etc............ maybe I should start writing those short stories myself !!!

    Note to mods...........

Im going mad here trying to think of the names of actresses

I can see in my minds eye, but I can t put a name to

Why not a sticky posting A to Z of actors and actresses

so when Im desperate I can go to the list and refresh my

    memory

It would be easy to do and a valuable resource !!

Just watched 'William and Mary' absolutely first class episode!

Elaine at the end is superb in a defiant Bette Davis way!... (won't divulge too much for those yet to see!).

    I cried laughing.

Is that the one about the man who did away with his first couple of wives? Or am I confusing that with the one about the brain?
