More of a TV Play than a film, I seem to recall. Anyway, the plot involves a couple of herbets from Scotland besotted with an Eastern Europen beauty. The two Jocks may have been on their way to a footy game.It was transmitted about 10-15 years ago. That annoying Simple Minds track (the 'hey, hey, oooooh, oh' one) was featured in the soundtrack.

Any more info about this would be much appreciated. Cheers.

The Match? (although it's not 10-15 years old)

The movie's called "The match" with Sean Bean in it. And the song is "Don't you forget about me"

Thanks for the replies, but the film is definitely NOT The Match. From what I recall, it was largely a cast of unknown actors. And as for the football angle of the story, I think I'm right about it, but I can't swear that this was the core of the story.
