The writer Howard Jacobson made a fascinating documentary about humour, perhaps 7 or eight years ago. How can I get a copy of it ?

He also wrote a book to accompany the series. This was called "Seriously Funny: From the Sublime to the Ridiculous" and published in 1997. If I remember rightly, the TV prog didn't please the critics.

It didn't please me either. He was trying to analyse why humour is funny. That's always a fast way to get a disaster of a programme.
