At a time when many people are lamenting that British television comedy "aint wot it used to be" I must sing the praises of 'Absolute Power'.

A very, very clever and witty comedy about the goings on in a PR company where the employees work at "lying for a living."

You really have to listen closely as the program showers the viewer with quick wit, one liners and dark humour. Thankfully there is no canned laughter.

Stephen Fry fits the part of the head PR guy perfectly and just seeing John Bird's facial expressions as he reacts to his many problems always makes me laugh. John Bird may appear laid back but I think he is one of Britain's funniest comedic actors.

We're just getting to see Series Two here and I'm happy to say its just as funny as the first one.

Yet another great TV comedy show that started life on BBC Radio 4. That is a very good testing ground for writers and for new works in general.

The TV version is very well done. And it keeps up the shock levels right to the end. You just think that they can't get any more morally bankrupt - but they do

No word on it happening... yet.

Although they did bring it to a sort of conclusion with the end of the second series
