Anyone have this tv broadcast of the JB Priestly play with Patricia Routledge and Joss Ackland? I'm also looking for the 1943 film version.

Yes, I have a copy of this wonderful play with Patricia Routledge, Joss Ackland Prunella Scales Timothy West etc - a perfect piece in a perfect cast.



Recently I have transferred the VHS tape to DVD and the result is really rather good. There are about 3 frames missing somewhere in the middle which you will not notice and the final bit about designer and producer is cut from the credits at the end.

I would be interested in trading if you have a list - my wants list is too large to give out!!

I saw it years and years ago on a dodgy VHS tape which has long since died, and I'd absolutely love to track it down.

Searching for a copy of this splendid piece in which Ronnie Barker played the drunken photographer Henry Ormonroyd. Also starred Thora Hird, Eric Porter and Beryl Reid. I have the 1987 version with Prunella Scales, Timothy West, Joss Ackland etc.

I have seen a clip of Barker on the BAFTA celebration a few years back but have no idea as to how to get a copy being shown in pre-video days. The version I want to see is the 1940 one with Raymond Huntley and Sidney Howard. Never ever on tv in its entirity anywhere yet I have seen clips on tv !

We watched this BBC play with our late lamented parents one Christmas when it was first broadcast and it was wonderful. I think it was only broadcast once. We have been trying to get a copy ever since and have tried both the BBC and the JB Priestly estate without success.



I would love to see it again if anyone can help us.
