Does anyone know where I can get a copy of this series? It was produced by Granada in the late 70's. Being a Dr Who fan, I'm particularly interested in any episodes which featured Elisabeth Sladen. Can anyone help, please?

    Ta.

No, can't say I have...apart from the clips on "More than 30 years in the Tardis". Why do you ask? Is it worth a look at? Is the material available? I'd be interested to see anything with Liz in.

Ahem, sorry to interrupt the Dr Who fans . . . . If anybody does have a copy of the SEND IN THE GIRLS series, I'd love a copy to give to a friend who was in it. Plenty to trade or happy to cover costs.

    Thanks,

    Sippog

What do you want to know. The Daleks whisper while chatting, this is deemed to be unacceptable so is done again with standard audio level.

At the end of the Daleks loading up the ship, point of view shot, Liz comments that the Exillon actors eyes have steamed up so he can no longer see and ask's if he is ok and does he need any help. How Kind & thoughtful of her

Having been fortunate enough to interview Liz at a convention a few years back, I can agree whole heartedly about how kind and thoughtfulshe is....She's lovely. Very kind: very approachable and thoughtful. A joy to be with. Considering how nervous she was before the Con, she was a perfect guest to interview. I met her again at a DWAS some years later and she came over to me and gave me a great big hug ! Aaaah ! 'Quite made my day !

Lis only appeared in one episode of this anthology-type series. I have a (time-coded) VHS copy.

It's a superbly written and acted drama, rather in the style of a vastly-improved episode of Coronation Street. However, it's also the most depressing story I have ever seen on TV; it makes Bouquet of Barbed Wire seem like The Good Life !

I met Lis once, and told her that the end credits should have included the phone number of the Samararitans ! She seemed very surprised to hear that, and indeed surprised that anyone had seen it or remembered it.

Thanks for those pics. I'd love to see this programme.

I always got a little buzz out of see Lis in other shows. Such a shame that she didn't make the impact she deserved outside of Who.

Another programme of hers I remember as a child was an adpation of Gullivers travels, not many others seem to remember it though..

It was an unusual version of Gullivers Travels, wasn't it? It used cardboard cut-out animation to provide the backgrounds.

According to IMDB, at least one other person enjoyed it.

    Gulliver in Lilliput (1982) (TV)
