Could it be Judi Geeson and Rod Steiger in THREE INTO TWO WON'T GO?
Can anyone please help me...been looking for this film for years.
Not sure I have enough details to go on but we can try right!
Ok so there's a girl who's a bit of a wild child, swears etc
And a guy who is far too old for her (not even sure if they get together but think he feels that way for her)
They go on a road trip.
At one point, they're walking along by some water (I think), definitely something outdoors-y and he says something along the lines of how beautiful it is...to which she says
"it smells like shite"
I remember it clearly because I'd never heard anyone say shite before lol
Any ideas?
Can't remember where it's set, just remember it being a bit of a road trip. I used to get it mixed up with bits of the Power of One so can't give you any more bits!
Thanks

This seems familiar to me, but I can't quite place it. Do you think it was made in the 1980s? I don't remember it in Three Into Two Won't Go.
i always thought it was made around the 80s but I'm not 100% sure
can't get "3 into 2 won't go" on blockbuster either...gonna try ebay & hope

There's a Girl in My Soup (1970) with Goldie Hawn and Peter Sellers?
D
It does sound a bit like "Holy Smoke"
Holy Smoke (1999)
But that was late 90's
How about Soft Top Hard Shoulder?
Soft Top Hard Shoulder (1992)

That was going to be my suggestion. The word shite was very popular at that time!!
Could it be Hello-Goodbye (1970)
could it be paper moon with ryan o neal and his daughter.
Not with the word shite in it, surely. She wouldn't have learned that language until she married John McEnroe............
