Here's one that has puzzled me since I came across it a while ago:

BFI | Film & TV Database | ISABEL DE ESPAÑA (1971)

    Should it be filed under:

    Films bfi made up ...........

    or

    Lost Masterpieces ........

It could be one of two things; a project that never got to fruition, or a tripwire; a fake entry (and a pretty convincing one) to catch out anyone copying their database without referencing or asking permission....

name='penfold']It could be....... a project that never got to fruition,
I wondered that. It claims a Spanish production company that does seem to exist (I think I googled it....or did I?). McGoohan and Ms Jackson were doing Mary QoS in 1971ish - all very Period, so I wondered if it was some sort of piggyback project, (not having the faintest idea how things actually work "in the Biz")............ that never got made.

There is another credit for McGoohan doing a 1960 voice-over for a 'Mel-o-toons' cartoon that I thought might be a trip-wire, as you suggested. but that one turned out to be true....... ........

This Isabel thing seems overly complex for such a purpose...... But, as I said, what do I know......

I wonder if it was planned before or after Mary QoS......

McGoohan and Jackson............... Bogart and Hepburn......

    ........ or maybe not.........

In an interview at the time of The Moonshine War, Mr. McGoohan made direct reference to his next film being Tai-Pan. That never came to fruition either.

Would this really be allowed? Making a false claim about a real person's career would seem a bit off. Some might consider it damaging.

As for copying data, I must admit I have used the information I have found on the BFI database and expanded the IMDb with it. Information is not held under copyright.
