Just raising this again to see if anyone can help me with finding this TV mini series. One reason for trying again is that there has recently been a review comment on IMDB from a US contributor which leads me to wonder if it has been shown on US TV in the last few months.
I tried a private message on IMDB but got no response. As the comment is dated 28 June 2009 and contains some detailed info about the plot it would seem likely that the contributor had seen it fairly recently.
Can any of our US Forum members shed any light? Or can anyone help?

I remember watching this at the time. I believe it still exists in the BBC Archive. I also believe that it was shown in the 1970s in the US on Mastepiece Theatre along with the various classic serials. I would like to see it get a DVD release here.
