I haven't seen this for years, but seem to recall a great Big Country style soundtrack (the name of the band not the film). This was Bill Forsyths first "hit" prior to Gregory's Girl. I don't recall the early plot - about the sinks, but more the later story about highway robbers on a moped robbing tourist coaches in the highlands....or am I confusing this with another film? It was typically Forsyth, low budget whimsy. Anyone know if the soundtrack is available?

The highway robbery was from another film - Restless Natives. have a look at this site for more details.

Restless Natives - Scotland the Movie Location Guide -

The music for That Sinking Feeling was composed (according to IMD by Colin Tully, who also did the music for Gregory's Girl.

The soundtrack by Big Country is available as Restless Natives and Rarities.

I wonder what sales quantity is required before DVDs skip across to the Region-1 markets? I enjoyed the film when I saw it years ago, one of hundreds.

Excellent film and great music from Big Country. The Scots have featured in some cracking comedies over many years

Does anybody else remember this little 80s outing from Channel4s' early days?

Haven't seen it in years and heard Big Country today which got me thinking about it.Modern day Robin Hood where two Scottish lads hold up American tour buses and become national heroes(well that's how i remember it!):

Has anybody ever tried to lobby a TV channel into showing a particular film,or have any ideas on how to go about it?

I wonder if they'd listen to us.....

Siege Warfare isn't that far removed from our past... and most networks don't even have moats! (This could be a piece of cake!)

Superb film, even better music, one of my all time favourites, needs a Blu-ray release, 5.1 lossless audio and some extras.
