The only title on IMDB linking the two of them is The Mind of Mr Soames. That certainly doesn't sound like your film.

Hi All,
can anyone help name this film, it was in colour, in the 70s I think it was a short supporting film starring Terence Stamp and Judy Parfitt, the setting was a large gothic house on St Michaels Mount where it gets cut off by the incoming tide. Terence Stamp plays a kind of Bluebeard character who marries Judy Parfitt's daughter against her mothers wishes, and it is the usual thing where there is a locked room in the house and she is forbidden to go in there, but curiosity gets the better of her, some how Judy Parfitt gets to realise what is going on and rides on horse back across the sands as the tide is about to cut off access to the house, she arrives in time and I think she shoots Terence Stamp before he kills the daughter and the only line I can remember is that when she turns to the daughter and says "Remember Mother Knows Best".
Regards Chris

Could this be The Bloody Chamber (1982)?
You already did this routine.
