Images from 'Special Branch' (1969)
Poor Marker has had to wait nearly three and a half years for a reply. It seems another
ten years of credits have been added to
Jennifer Wilson's filmography since that post, the last being
Casualty. Oddly enough, her contemporary, Marjie Lawrence, was also last seen in 2007, again in a medical drama,
Doctors. There is another question that needs answering:

WHEN CAN WE EXPECT ANOTHER DVD FOR
THE BROTHERS?!!
(How many more times?

)
I've just finished posting at 'Miscellaneous Locations', a thread I started a few days ago, and Jennifer is included in both images, from the episode
A Date with Leonidas. She is shown, in the distance at first, on the steps of a Greek church in Camden, London, following a wedding. There is a closer view of her in the next shot which I think will be a nice addition to the thread:
This one is from her last episode (

),
Reliable Sources, and was originally used for 'Name That Face' last year:
The reason why it's a smaller size is that it's from my laptop.
I guess I'll never know why Jennifer, as Detective Sergeant Helen Webb, suddenly disappeared before the first series ended. Wensley Pithey (Detective Superintendent Eden) never came back either. His replacement was Fulton Mackay, only he was Det.
Chief Supt. This was a good part for the underrated actress and it's going to be a sad occasion when I see her final appearance (second time round) in a couple of weeks.
I do have some of Jennifer Wilson's other credits on DVD, including
Gideon's Way. Ironically, she was the wife of villain Derren Nesbitt, her future co-star in
Special Branch of course. One of their children was played by a
very young Michael Cashman. I hope to bring you some screencaps from her episode soon and those from
Ghost Squad and
The Mind of Mr. J.G. Reeder (yes, I have it now thanks to Network's sale last week!) once I've watched them.
At the moment, I have no idea what she did in
The Brothers and am increasingly impatient to see this famous series - especially after this post. Unfortunately, nothing can be done about her lost episodes of
A Man of Our Times, a significant show in her career. When I return here I'll prepare another of my 'Good News, Bad News' posts and find out how much of her work survives in the archives. It
won't be fun. I hope Jennifer is well and look forward to seeing her many more times.
Can one of the Moderators add the other N in her first name please? Thank you in advance.
