    Hello one and all

Migrating from the Powell & Pressburger group to here ... my first post is a plea - can you help...?

A friend of mine's grandfather was one of the first West Indian actors

in Britain from the new immigrants of the 1950s. He starred in a 1956

BBC play called A MAN FROM THE SUN, which got a repeat on BBC4 on 18th

January 2003, as part of the Time Shift strand.

Now my friend is looking for a tape of the play, which she's never seen.

Would any of you have taped the play - or know a group or forum of

classic tv fans who might have taped it?

The play was written by John Elliot, also of course responsible for cult classic

A for Andromeda, and also starred Cy Grant and Colin Douglas.

The actor in question is Keefe West, who was also also in that

delirious John Boorman film, Leo the Last...

    Can anyone help? Please?

    Thanks and in hope

    Andrew

Hello Andrew and welcome. You'll spot a few familiar faces here; Steve, Barbara, Mark, Doc M, and of course, myself. I'm sure that there are others, but with the use of nicknames, it's difficult to spot them.

    Hi Andrew,

    Welcome to Britmovie.

I have an excellent quality recording of A Man From The Sun from the BBC4 repeat. I can provide you with a DVD-R copy. Send me a PM and we can talk further.

Hi Nick, and thanks for giving me directions to the site. Much appreciated!

Now, who's coming to see The Smallest Show on Earth, the Basil Dearden film, this Sunday at 2pm in Bath...???
