That and Chinese must be one of the hardest languages to master.

I always thought English was. Imagine starting to learn that as an adult

Hello everyone. Nice to meet you all, I am a Mexico-based artist looking to move to London for personal reasons and I would like to break into the UK market, but I literally have no idea of where to start. I always wanted to break into the film scene of the US in various ways but I had more success in the the entertainment market, making animated websites. Could someone clue me in on where to start? I mean, don't get me wrong, I'd love to work in the set of Doctor Who, I really do, but being realistic, I'll take anything that can give me a one-way ticket to the UK, a hot plate of food on my table and a ceiling above my head, as long as I can use my god-given talents (graphic design, music, sculpture, animation, etc.). Can someone clue me in?

As a matter of a fact, I got a promotional wallpaper ROFL! But I'm not sure I can post links just yet due to my new user status.

    Hi, everyone.

I'm new here and am still finding my feet

Mid-thirties chap who loves 1970's and 1980's children's television. You can't beat a bit of nostalgia!

Hello - lovely to be part of the forum at last (I found my activation email in my spam folder, bizzarely enough). I'm a massive fan of british variety acts and films of the 1920s onward. I'm currently doing a lot of research in this area, just for my own amusement really - and have found there is so much to discover. I spend much of my time on Amazon and the like, buying books and films related to the subject.

Hope everyone will be gentle with me (hey, we were all new once!).

    B.
