I have not seen this version ... is it any good?

From what I can remember, it's a lot more gritty than the Hollywood offerings, portraying more of the underbelly of Victorian society.

I'll keep an eye out for it ... I do like a good Victorian mystery/drama etc, and that story is one of the best
